Several entities (individuals and/or businesses) are registered owners of an aircraft and hire ATL (the management company) to manage the aircraft. Owners allow ATL to exchange this aircraft among their fleet of aircraft.
Fractional shareowner.
You purchase a share in a specific aircraft tailored to your business and /or personal travel requirements starting with as little as 1/6 interest. You retain financial and legal control over the asset in a specific serial-numbered aircraft registered with the Federal Aviation Administration.
Fractional shareowners have no management responsibilities or concerns. The fractional provider manages client’s interest and provides total flight crew management, trip scheduling, ground support, catering, ground transportation, and all maintenance.
Fractional ownership offers the flexibility and privacy of having your own plane. The fractional shareowners designate the only passengers that are on the aircraft for client’s scheduled trips. Fractional shareowners are guaranteed availability (with ten hours advance notice) of their aircraft or comparable or larger aircraft. You simply put in a request for an aircraft when you need to fly and the fractional program takes care of the rest.
